Destin Florida-2009

We decided to take a "last minute" trip to Destin Florida with our wonderful friends!!! Before the trip, Phil went to the Salvation Army Thrift Store, and found these festive shirts for the drive down! I think it has the possibility of a tradition!! :)

Phil took the girls down to the ocean every morning to hunt for shells. The girls looked forward to this time with their daddy! The Pool.....and THE goggles...

We decided to head to the ocean again towards the end of the week. The goal was to create some kind of grand "Michigan themed" sand art. What started out as a UofM football helmet...ended up with each of us creating a letter to spell DESTIN.

Phil decided to do the Detroit Tigers "D"...to continue with the Michigan theme! He, of course, made the rest of our letters look unworthy! :)

About half way through the trip, White Chocolate (Sayer's van) started overheating! It slowed us down just a bit...but not enough to stop us from laughing and taking pictures! :) I'm pretty sure Scott and Phil S. have the problem under control here, and Phil is just ordering a pizza...or maybe making reservations for the stellar buffet that was available at the "gas station" we stopped at!!! :)
