These next two pictures include a fun story! This row of houses is called Elfreth's Alley, often referred to as the oldest continuously inhabited street in America. The oldest house on the street was built around 1725. Phil, the girls and I were looking around while the rest of our group went on a guided tour of one of the houses owned by the Association. We were admiring the houses when a woman started a conversation with us. She was telling us all about the houses, and how they were still owned and lived in today. After talking with her for about 5 minutes she informed us that she and her husband owned the home were standing in front of, and she invited us in!!!! Miss Sue was extremely friendly and we enjoyed our very personal tour of Elfreth's Alley!! :)

After a long day of sight seeing..we HAD to have some ice cream!!! :) We walked to Reading Terminal Market, an amazing open market full of unique foods, gifts & flowers. Here we indulged in Bassetts ice cream, which was est. in 1861!! Yummy!!!!
