Indianapolis Children's Museum

One of our last trip's of Summer 2010 was to Indianapolis. Phil's cousin Andrew was getting married, and most of the family made the short trip south for a long weekend. We missed you Taylor family!!! :)

We had time to kill before the Saturday evening wedding, and it was close to 100 degrees outside...so we took the cousies to the Indianapolis Children's Museum. :)
As you'll see...we ALL had a great time!!

Smooched pennies...First things first!!! :)
Fun and interesting arch/puzzle that the kids and adults put together
and of course...this part was MUCH more fun!!!
Phil's favorite exhibit at the museum :)
Emily and me taking a break in "Egypt"...
And then came the BARBIE exhibit...

Our favorite Ken Doll.. "Mod Hair Ken" circa 1973 :)
The Cars & Guitars Exhibit featured some really cool costumes and instruments actually used by the musicians.
Elvis...
Maddie's a HUGE K.I.S.S. Fan..Didn't you know??? hahaha
She's giving her best Gene Simons "tongue" impression!! :)
Those costumes are just insanely weird!!!
We were glad to find that we didn't miss the Star Wars Exhibit!!
Floor to ceiling Chihuly Art, which is all glass and very colorful. This pic doesn't really do it justice. It's a huge piece!!
Dale Chihuly....not exactly what we expected him to look like! :)
But his art is amazing!!
From the bottom floor of the museum you could look up thru the bottom of the glass art. The colors were so bright and fun!!

Emma and Luke checking out a fossil of some kind.

Looks like you all had a great time! LOVED the picture of Phil. So glad it was fun AND educational. ;) Thanks for making time for us on your trip too. It was so much fun to see you guys, but made me wish we lived closer.

Hey Amber - I am catching up on your blog now that I am back, and the Ken doll (1973) looks like Uncle Jerry! And he will be thrilled that Maddie is a KISS fan....that is his favorite band. Always enjoy reading the blog and catching up!
