{Weekend Project}

Emma celebrated Easter early with her Kindergarten class. They had a Resurrection Breakfast last Friday. I thought it was such a cute idea...and Emma loved having breakfast with her friends at school!
Mrs. Rus reading the Easter story

Meanwhile...Phil was back home starting on the weekend project!!!
Good bye nasty ol' off white carpet...you will not be missed!!!!!
*Phil means business when he puts on the DeVisser T-shirt!!!* :)
I knew Phil needed a little extra help....but I don't think he meant to call a plumber!!! :)
It's even funnier that her sweatshirt says "Always Unpredictable"
ok..sorrry...but those were just to funny!!! :) Maddie has this problem often....Nothin' we can do but laugh and take pictures!! :)

Yes..even I was recruited for this project!
After a long 15 minutes of pulling out staples...Maddie and the cat took their afternoon siesta! :)
Actually...Maddie went in to her room while I was vacuuming..and Phil went in 5 minutes later to tell her it was safe to come out...and this is what he found!! :)
Emma got in on the action Saturday afternoon...Helping dad with the nail gun!!
Finishing up...Phil did an amazing job...especially since this was his first time laying a wood floor!!! It must have been the lucky DeVisser shirt... :)
I love it!!!
Now I just need to figure out the best way to clean it/dust it!!! Any suggestions?

{Signs of Spring}

Every year, around Easter, we help my Grandma hang plastic eggs on her Magnolia tree. When we arrived last Wednesday the girls saw these and shouted "Signs of Spring" and asked me to take a picture for the blog! How funny is that...my 6 and almost 5 year old know what a blog is... cute!! :)

Before.... This is such a fun tradition. Nicole, my cousin Heather and I use to hang these on my Grandma's tree when we were little!! And now my girls look forward to it every year. It's a "sign of spring" in my book!!! :) Maddie needed a little "direction"...otherwise all the eggs would have ended up on one very heavy branch!!

Almost done...And of course...a picture with GG to remember the day! :)

{Soccer Star}

Maddie started indoor soccer a few weeks ago. She spends about 30 minutes learning skills, and then the last 15min. playing a little game. This particular week she scored 5 goals...and she hasn't let anyone around here forget it!!! :)

Cousin Luke showed up to watch for a while, which made Emma very happy!!

Stretch it out....Stayin' after the ball...just like Daddy told her to!!! :)
She basically didn't stop running for 45 minutes!!!
A good workout...and pink cheeks to prove it! :)

{mystery trip}

A few weeks ago Phil and I took the girls on a little "mystery trip." We've been planning this trip for a while now...we were able to pack etc..without them even having a clue!! We told them we were going out for dinner one night and then gave them clues as to where we were going. It was SO fun!! Sorry my pictures are small this time around...I was going to try and be extra creative with my layout...but it didn't quite work out that way!! So hopefully you can still get a little glimpse into our fun getaway!
The first stop was at the BPS in Indiana. This a good stopping point when we are headed over to Wisconsin to visit family...so we always take a quick potty break, and of course...do a little shopping! :) As soon as we pulled in Emma knew we were headed to Milwaukee to visit cousins...you can't pull one past that child!! :)
We stayed in Milwaukee for two nights. Friday night the girls hung out with Aunt Carrie, Uncle Jason, Caleb and Allison...they enjoyed a fun night at Chuck E. Cheese, and then a sleep over!!!
Phil and I met up with his Aunt and Uncle for a tour of the Sprecher Brewery.
We had a lot of fun tasting all the different kinds of "soda" (that's "Milwaukeese" for Pop!!)
They make a killer Root Beer!!!
We had to remind Phil that he WAS driving home...unlimited "soda" samples can be dangerous! :)
We picked up the girls early Saturday morning and headed to our next surprise. The girls weren't able to guess this one...but they were excited when we finally got there!! :)
They spotted this store right away...but Phil made them wait until Sunday to check it out!! It was 3 floors, and they needed something to look forward to!
Checkin' it all out!
The amusement park that's right in the middle of the mall!!
Our little Vikings!! :)
We finally found a croc big enough to fit Bampa!!! :)
This was the highlight of the trip...for all "three" of my kids! :)
Emma was having an impossible time choosing a key chain!!
We finally settled on R2D2...I wanted her to get Chewy..oh well! :)
Emma and her LEGO purchases
Phil and his new airplane...he was pretty excited about this!!! :)

The girls started a "smooched" penny collection last summer. They love hunting for a machine, and then picking out the design they want.
Great keepsakes....and they only cost 51cents!!!
Sunday afternoon we headed back to Wisconsin for a our last surprise! We gave the girls clues along the way...and then Phil broke down and told Maddie where we were going...and of course she can't keep a secret so needless to say..they couldn't' wait for the 4 hour drive to end!!!
We stayed two nights at the Wilderness Lodge in the Wisconsin Dells. They have 2 separate water parks, and a wave pool!!!
"The Dump" as Maddie and Emma refer to it!!!
Phil and I giggled every time they said it!!

They Lazy River

There was a pool that had an entrance to an outside pool...the girls thought this was great!!
catchin' a wave...
When we returned home late Tuesday night...we found a little surprise right in our own backyard!!! Bampa and his snow creations....so fun!!!!
Playing on the Caterpillar before he melted away...
